TWO SCHOLARSHIPS TO BE AWARDED
Each year, the Metropolitan Bridge Unit (MBU) awards $500 grants to two undergraduate students. The minimum requirement for eligibility is having completed at least three semesters of their continuing education towards a four-year degree by June 2020. Students who meet this requirement can request an application at mbuscholar@gmail.com or download the application here.
Completed applications with all specified additional documents are due by July 15, 2020. Award recipients will be notified by August 1, 2020.

We are passionate about the fight against Alzheimer’s disease and about the game of duplicate bridge. That’s why on the Longest Day, June 21, 2019, the Metropolitan Bridge Unit will host two games, one at 10 am and the other after lunch, at about 2 pm, to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association.
The Longest Day is the day with the most light — the summer solstice. And it’s the day the Alzheimer’s Association calls on everyone to fight Alzheimer’s disease by raising funds and awareness for care, support and research.
By supporting the MBU on The Longest Day, we can stand up to the darkness of Alzheimer’s. Can we count on you to help by making a donation?

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE MBU'S NEW BRIDGE TEACHERS
A Teacher Certification Workshop was held on April 3 at the Brooklynites DBC. The 8-hour workshop, conducted by ABA Teacher Certification Chair Lois Francis, included course materials, training techniques practice and teaching resources for class use. Participants were awarded ABA certification to teach Bridge.
